Health visitors are trained nurses with further specialist training in family health. The members of your health visiting team are Lisa Matthews, Teresa Reynolds and nursery nurse Carol Chapman.
The health visitor will take over you and your baby’s care from the midwife between 11 and 16 days after your baby is born. The team will offer guidance, advice and support on all aspects of health from nutrition, weaning, child development, minor ailments, safety and immunisations to parenting issues such as child behaviour, sleeping patterns and other aspects of family life.

Lisa Matthews
Lisa has been a health visitor in both London and Leicestershire. She has been part of the team at Countesthorpe since 2001.
Lisa is married with two teenage sons. Leisure time is going out for meals, reading and enjoying sports activities with her boys.
Teresa Reyonlds
Teresa has been a health visitor in both London and Leicestershire. She joined the team at Countesthorpe in 2008 after working for 15 years in the Hinckley area.
Teresa is married with a son and a daughter both in their twenties. Away from work she enjoys walking holidays, going to the theatre and live music.
